I believe that some outside force initiated the change of state that allowed the Universe to erupt.
I call that unknown force God.
The Big Bang Theory might try to explain what is and how it happened but the Why? remains unanswered.
That unknown Why is God.
Science explains the how
Religion explains the why
Science gives us the details of what happened.
Belief gives us the why it happened.
Perhaps both conditions exist at the same time?
Thus, science and religion seem to work together (right now).
But see, there is missing parts to both.
There are certain parts that don't maker sense one way or the other.
Perhaps, just a suggestion, there is a third option nobody has considered yet?
Lets say science figures out the Why?
What does that tell us?
Is that the end of the equation or is there something more that needs an explanation?
Lets just say the change of state happens because of some until now, unknown force, that exists in everything everywhere.
Now we know why the Universe erupted.
What actually happened at the first stages of that instant that caused a change?
It supposes something beyond the actual Universe that exists.
Was it GOD?
Was it a condition of static?
Being locked in a dynamic Universe, there is no way we can know what happens in a Universe that freezes to absolute zero everywhere. Without having a model of that condition, science cannot attempt to explain the forces that occurred.
In other words, we can NEVER know.
So, the human mind being what it is, we have only one explanation and that is GOD.
When push comes to shove, the final equation always reverts to GOD (Unknown Force) starting it all.
To understand this concept one must first understand what a Universe at absolute zero entails. Everything is frozen, Not just matter, energy as well.
The spin of atomic particles have stopped. No forces are being generated. Including gravity.
Then SOMETHING initiates a change in state.
That something, (unknown at this time) might be some natural force that exists outside our known laws of the Universe.
But, lets say we define it someday.
Something had to cause that force to act.
So again, God or some hereto unknown force caused that other unknown force to initiate change to the Universe?
Now, fast-forward 13.7 billion years. Matter is still erupting into existence.
We have no idea why or what the mechanism is that causes it but it is still happening.
If we can figure out the mechanism that creates matter we might have a better understanding of how the Universe erupted.
The Universe is expanding but it is expanding from all points at the same time. That is why we can't trace the expansion back to a single point at the event.
The expansion is happening constantly.
We can't detect it because we are locked into a specific realm of relativity.
Given the vastness of space, it shows as an expansion.
If we could gain a relative view on that scale, we would see the expansion but we can't because it is beyond our current abilities to detect.
Perhaps life itself is a condition of that expansion?
When that expansion has finally expanded it very last time, perhaps the Universe will start to cool to absolute zero?
Finally, when no more expansion is possible and atomic structures slow to a halt and the Universe becomes a vast frozen wasteland of matter, another change will happen that starts everything moving again.
It won't be the mechanism that causes the state change but the mechanism that initiates the change that causes the change.
That, might be some kind of God or baseline force that exists outside the Universe?
Its that Unknown Force that can be called GOD, if you need that name.
If God is what you need to give you inner contentment, I see no problem?
Since I believe mankind will never know the nature of the Unknown Force that started the change that created the Universe, I choose to call that force God. It gives me inner peace.
