Is it necessary to believe in God? or is it not necessary

It is necessary for religion, It is not necessary for life.

There are a lot of people alive that do not believe in God.

The fact that they are alive proves that belief in God is not a requirement for life.

All "Belief" is a choice to believe, a personal choice.

The God that I choose to believe in may or may not be the God you choose to believe in.

This is because my belief is my personal choice.
Your belief is your personal choice.

There is no right or wrong belief because there is no standard belief.
What is right for me, doesn't need to be right for you and vice-versa.

yeah, that's it. but if there is reward and punishment for the other world, then it is necessary to believe in God. If you do not believe in God, it seems like there is no problem for this life.
If the other life is real then what will it be? if the other life is real ... this is very important ...

Take notice of what you wrote.
Lots of "IFs" IF this, IF that...

I believe (my belief) that I should live in this world because it is the one I actually experience.
The God of my belief promises nothing, requires nothing.
I am not filled with wishes and promises of something more than what is already available to me. I do not fear death.

"IF" sits on a chair and watches the world go by waiting for promises it can never attain.

Try finding joy and contentment in the world where you exist.

Is it necessary to believe in God?

in order to do the will of God, yes.
in order to dwell with God after this life, yes.
in order to live a truly harmonious life led by God, yes.

I love mathematics and science, and I enjoy every discovery being made. but I am on the view that everything is made by God. which means, what science claims and discovers and attempts to prove via mathematics, proves to me the reality that God does exist.

I'm new here.
I contend that there are thousands of both Gods/Goddesses.
If we are made in the image of deity, that means to me that there must be Goddess as well.
Not only that, I contend God/Goddess can be witnessed everywhere and in everything, and most importantly in everyone. It's all energy and it's all relative.

This link is very good regarding the many Gods/Goddesses available to follow. I follow the Goddess that is in me, and guides me by looking within, to my conscience which differentiates between good and evil.
This leads me to the notion that if we simply love others as ourselves, and the divine, wherever we see divinity, we really have a good program of spirituality. Many religions and even non religious people, have in their philosophy ,a " Golden Rule ".
Right is right and wrong is wrong, if it will hurt me, it will hurt another.

It took me a long time to recognize, but I am certain of it:

It is not possible to CHOOSE to believe or to not believe.

For anyone.

We can only DISCOVER what we do or do not believe.

That's part of why it is called your FAITH.

When you believe something because someone has proved it to you logically, that is not FAITH.

Our host says well, that he knows his faith in his heart. That is exactly what I mean.

In a way, then, the answer to the title question is, for the individual believer, yes. They MUST believe, because they do.

Not because someone tells them to.

This is why it is pointless for a government to try to FORCE people to say they believe. That does not cause faith, it only insures that none of the people of the country, can ever have FAITH that their neighbors actually have faith.

there is also a concept of divine intervention or coincidence. as a believer, I view it as divine intervention.

example: your boss asks you to work over when your normal routine is to leave and be at certain places. but the time your boss asks you to work, one of these places gets robbed and someone is shot.

now, is that coincidence or God intervening for you?

I have personally had a few incidents like this that something happened and kept me from being somewhere. and then later on I learned something bad took place and I would have been there or possibly involved.

to me, this is God's divine intervention.

so, when I realized what this was, it was no longer believing in God via faith only. to me, this was hardcore fact there is a real God who is helping me while I was blindly believing He was real.

basically, I have so much proof now there is a real God it no longer is a matter of faith. where my faith now lies at, is at the point of expecting God to always intervene on my behalf

To believe in God does not have to be like a clergyman. You drink tea / coffee, you eat. so you live everything. but you believe in God. God gave you when it rains. You give 1 grain of wheat. God makes us 20-100 of this wheat.
///
I actually did not choose to believe in God. because you prefer a political party and give it a rating. It's not like believing in God. To feel God. yes it can be explained like that. ///
If we leave 4 sheep in the water, they will disappear. but if they become shepherds they will not be lost. There is so much cloud, rain, storm, snow, animal, human. all this universe should not be without. It must be someone who controls the planets and everything. ///
I think he does not sit in the chair and watch. so there is a very nice scheme.

I hope you understand translation...

Mr iam_resurrected,
you have revealed God's faith. yea, as you said to God, it is believed. I am a Muslim and I believe in God as you tell me. /// there is a saying like this: God's mercy is like 100 pieces. One part is for this world / universe. With this one piece, the mother looks at the child, the sheep looks at the lamb, the trees give fruit, the cloud gives rain, the planets move in a certain plane. as. as. the remaining 99 parts are forgiving people in the other world. so he is very, very compassionate.
