Make the illigals pay for a wall, with all the money, someone stated they made, while working and growing up here in USA!

why would people pay to restrict others from the very same opportunities that permitted them to be ABLE to pay?

more logical would be those who WANT the wall pay for the wall, and leave those who dont to spend their money on more important things....

That is the most important thing, security of USA! Have secure boaders!

lol, having a document or not doesnt make one a 'danger' to anyone.

danger needs to be stopped, people growing up here, learning to live and love and contribute here do not, regardless of 'papers'

secure borders are great, we already have borders for that purpose
deporting people that are already PAST That border since childhood and have managed to abide the laws and be productive since is vengeful and a waste of resources

No the boarders aren't secure, as they should be are the parents and children here illigally wouldn't have happened!

Go to another country see how long you can stay there without being a citizen there!!!

I really dont care. Growing up here and contributing SHOULD 'earn' them something more than deportation.

I never said they were 'all' productive. I said those who ARE should not be lumped in with the same consequence as those who arent or those who knowingly broke the immigration laws AS ADULTS.

The borders will never stop people from coming here illegally, kind of like gun laws wont stop killing.

But doing SOMETHING to address the actual problems is better than just a blanket emotional response of kicking everybody out.

I dont label children as 'illegal' only adults who have the capability to sign the papers to BE LEGAL.

I dont care about children being here or growing up here, as long as they dont harm others and lead productive lives contributing to the culture, the community, and the economy.

security IMPLIES being free from DANGER.

I dont believe children should be viewed as 'illegal' as they have no control over their own status where immigration is concerned.

I know they dont become legal citizens, children cant enter into contracts to do so. However, I do see them as equally DESERVING of residence here as any child born here who grows up into a law abiding adult.

I am not in another country, I live here and so I am speaking at this time about how I, as a voting LEGAL citizen, would like to see immigration policy handled.

What good is history if we don't learn from it? Children need to be protected and encouraged and rewarded, not discouraged and ostracized over their parents crimes.

This is about suggestions on building a wall .

Keeping more illigals from crossing our boarders! More Secured boarders.

Not caring for children already here in USA due to their parents illigal entrance here!

The talk of the Wall is part of and evolves into a bigger discussion about illegal immigration.

A big part of illegal immigration is people brought here as children who are now adults and who are being tossed out as if they knowingly broke the law.

The Wall may get built or it may not. But its not logical to expect the people it will most harm to pay for it.

If America wants to build a wall on its borders, no one else will be paying for it. Anymore than your next door neighbor has to pay for a tree you want to plant in your yard.

My sister married an immigrant.
He has a greencard and served in the Marines.
His dad & mom immigrated here in the late 50s from Canada.
At the time they got their green cards they already had 4 children they brought with them. They then had two more children while in the states legally.
Of the 4 children brought into this country with the parents (my B-i-L being one of them) all 4 had to get green cards at the age of 18. All 4 did get green cards. One of the 4 since moved back to Canada but the remaining all have families in the US. The 2 youngest children, born in the states are US citizens.
It wasn't a thing for the kids to get their green cards at 18. As law-abiding citizens of the US his parents made sure their ducks were in a row and did what the law required.

Their immigrating children we their family. If there was a problem with their immigration at 18, they all had permission to move back to Canada instead. He started seeing my sister at 16. I remember my sis asking if it would make me mad if she moved away to Canada. I said no. Ultimately he decided to get his green card and join the service. It was their decision to stay and do what the law required.

If his parent's immigration status had been revoked, for whatever reason, they would have returned to Canada with their family, all of them. Even with the two born in the US.

But they were legal.

My high school best friend moved here with hia family from Mexico. They got visas. When that ran out, they either became citizens or moved back.

A wall surrounding an imaginary 'land of milk and honey' will not last forever, no matter what 'religion' you waste your time with.

A line of soldiers 2000 miles long -
just imagine the 'friendly fire' accidents, the environmental destruction, the cost of infrastructure needed to supply the troops and remove waste, the ongoing medical and mental health issues for those troops, the disruption to communities anywhere near the border, etc.

Didn't some president not so long ago say "tear down that wall" to the eastern bloc.

Don't forget that your country is the same. Australia was taken over as a penal colony. Plus your country is as easy to sneak in across borders as ours and Australia just had a controversial restriction on refugees passed, as well.
