I feel that Some convicted fellons, after a considerable number of years served in prison, should be pardoned, if their crimes are not real severe.

To answer, I would have to repeat my stand on racism that it can be implicit and inherent and that it is not all manifested in the same HATEFUL or BLATANT way.

Trump having grown up primarily in the circle of rich white males has most likely not had to THINK much about race EXCEPT for whatever nationally IMPLICIT bias he was exposed to. A bias that might EXPLAIN why he and his father were charged with violating the fair housing act,

why they were charged with discrimination in their casino,

why he invested a full page ad against calling for death penalty against five black youth later found innocent of rape

why he pushed so hard on the 'IS OBAMA a citizen? Birther crap."

why he keeps pushing the image of mexicans as rapists and drug dealers

why there is such discrepancy in how he reacts to white males violence against others, qualifying two men who beat a homeless mexican by commenting how 'passionate' his supporters were, and qualifying a charlottesville incident of a white nationalist running people over by saying 'both sides' were at fault and YET, describing violence in baltimore after greys death as 'thugs' destroying the city


why he stated that a Mexican judge could not be fair to him

why he suggested maybe the Muslim mother of a vet 'couldnt' say anything

why he apparently believes haitians and nigerians are all living in 'huts'


... now, in his defense, I believe him to be another victim of national implicit racial bias, but I dont believe it is something conscious. I believe he uses that bias whenever it suits him, but I believe that when it suits him to try to counter the bias, he does that too ...

I agree. It would clear out a lot of the prisons and should free up some tax money. Plus for those who've really changed, it would be great for them to have a second chance.

I think the drug dealing grandma should have been pardoned. But I also wonder if the judge gave her a harsh sentence because usually mom's and grandmother worry about their children getting on drugs.
