Actually a large portion of Americans don't pay any taxes at all. The large corporations are paying the majority of the taxes.
That's an interesting observation, do you have citations to back this up?
I speculate that there are more corporations in the US making say, a billion dollars than there are individual citizens making a billion dollars, so it would make sense that corporations would be paying more than individuals.
I believe that the reason why Dear Leader is so adverse to releasing his taxes is because his accountants have found enough tax loopholes to make sure HE is one of the "large portion" of Americans who did not pay taxes. I mean, if he was paying an inordinately large tax bill, he would have paraded his 1040 down Broadway.
I know the argument is that "illegals don't pay taxes", but they aren't Americans though, right? I mean, even people on unemployment (max $20K a year) get taxes deducted from their checks.
The tax burden in the US is balanced on the backs of the middle class, and that is the reason why the "middle class tax cut" is a great talking point for politicians on both sides, but is a fantasy
Do you think the welfare queen is going to be working past retirement age and donating her salary?
Maybe I'm not so concerned with how much Trump pays in taxes because most people his age aren't paying taxes at all. They are getting social security and medicare. The ones who didn't bother accomplishing anything in life are also getting foodstamps and Medicaid.
Isn't the reason people are so upset over the corporate tax cut is because they are living a life that depends on the tax $$ to support them? Because when a person is fine with people sitting home and getting tax $$ but upset that working people get a tax cut, something is terribly wrong.
so, you're saying that you aren't concerned if rich older people don't actually follow the actual laws, but you are concerned if you "think" that a "welfare queen" person might not be donating their salary while working past retierement age?
very interesting. go on...
and, no; your projection over why the people are upset over corporate taxes is misguided.
nevermind the fact that corporations don't earn all that money themselves, but with the help of their employees who don't get many of the the same tax breaks for their cut of the dollar that the corporations and their shareholders do...
and, since you're being lazy about discovering why some people don't have the opportunities to "accomplish anything in life", i'll be lazy and truncate my response to this...infrastructure and national debt.
corporations need the infrastructure, and are users of as much or more of it than the "welfare queens".
isn't it lazy to get all the benefits of big government without wanting to pay their share of the cost of building the roads, bridges, rails, air and sea ports etc, et al, that the "welfare queens" will probably never get to use but will forever be villified for not paying enough for them?
Corporations are still paying taxes. It's just they are paying less now. We aren't in a recession anymore and welfare benefits are being cut. Liberals aren't happy about going to work for the corporations instead of a handout from the corporations tax $$
