He was as close as Ive come to a republican POTUS candidate I could vote for, if he had been better at choosing a Vice President and had run against Hilary instead of Obama.

I had great respect for his skill at running on issues and believing he had better ideas, instead of dirt slinging or demeaning his opponents.


I will miss his style of integrity and diplomacy in the political arena.

considering his choice for VP, as opposed to the other options he had, its hard to imagine that was true. The if is only because I believe in that race Obama was the better choice in terms of his vision and campaign. I was not pleased with how the campaign for Hilary engaged in dirty politics at that time, or Palin's fearmongering rhetoric. So remove Palin and Hilary from the equation, and McCain may have been someone I could support.

I'll be glad when everyone let's McCain rest. It's a time for mourning and not politics for his family. CNN needs a new topic.
