For instance, your info regarding natural born citizenship is completely false. Try going straight to the source, as in Federal LAW. I did. I checked all the changed in citizenship laws from around 1950 to about 1970. It's online. You can look it up yourself.

I did my own digging on Obama, going straight to the source. I went through the archives of the local newspapers myself. I found his birth announcement. I didn't go through any investigative website or read a bunch of hearsay nonsense. I went straight to the local newspapers and viewed their microfilm and microfiche.

Obama meets 2 different criteria for citizenship by birth alone. Either one of those criteria is enough to make him a natural born citizen.

#1 - His mother was a U.S. citizen.
#2 - He was born on U.S. soil.

The only other stipulation - which was repealed prior to Obama's birth - is that the father must have spent at least some time in residence in the U.S.

But according to citizenship law, regardless of birth certificate authenticity, Obama is a natural born citizen just by virtue of his mother, regardless of where his birth took place.

So all the claims about him not being a natural born citizen is a farce, and always has been.

My intention was merely to point out that other countries has similar situations. And that every nation has the right to protect their borders with every means they choose.

You're totally free to give a sh..t about Europe. But doing so can risk doing the same mistakes as us. In some parts of Europe it looks more like Eurostan.

The sad part is that every illegal immigrant has the right to apply for asylum. A right most (muslim) UN members hold on tight. Muslim states that has no interest in keeping criminals, extremists and terrorists for them selves.

Things are not so black and white, not so us versus them. Truth is we are supposed to be humane and have some sense of purpose and connectivity to each other, regardless of nation, race or creed.

So yes, we do need to guard borders, but we also need to be aware of things happening globally and help WHERE and when we can, which includes the option for others to seek asylum or for others to be able to immigrate.

We do need a balance of liberal progress and conservative tradition. Both sides have extremists who refuse to even consider any idea or concept. without their 'label' on it. It is not an easy task for humans to decide where the line is that one persons beliefs and 'rights' end and the next begins, because our lives are so interconnected and intertwined. Yet, it is worth continuing to at least TRY to figure out and work toward that type of balance, instead of what is becoming an insurgence of all or nothing philosophies and policies.

There you used the correct word.-APPLY- These illegals aren't. They get some sort of court date and never show up. ICE should pick the up, and deport them. The second time around, you get to cool your heels in a holding area. Don't like it? Tough cookies. You brought that on yourself.

One BIG problem with the asylum system is that it creates a enormous trafficking business with murder and rape and whatever monstrosities you can imagine.

One more BIG problem is that 80% of the asylum seekers are young men. Why don't they stay put and fight for their family and country?

Yet another BIG problem is that only people with money and (illegal) connections have any chance to take advance of the asylum system.

Wouldn't it be better to HELP people where they live?

I dont understand the connection between murder and rape, at least as it pertains to USA where we havent seen a connection with asylum seekers.

The other problem of males coming is a matter of economics. In the USA, at least there is a priority to keep families together, so no one else has to 'pay for their kids'. Thats the sad reality of our priorities. and so with that monetary bottom line it makes little sense for women to come with children by themselves, and then have to figure out financial survival as a single parent once they arrive.

I think its best to have that balance of helping people how and when we can, which is sometimes permitting them safe haven in a different location and sometimes engaging in policies and action that can make their location a safer haven.

10,000 or some people are now in Mexico at our boarder. The reason given all along the way was.. asylum.

And I asked the question to the left way back...Asylum.. from what. And not one lefty had a answer.

Because not ONE person interviewed at our boarder claimed persecution of race, politics, freedom or religion from their home country.. not one.

What they did say was they wanted a better life.. a job.. and to raise ( and have) their kids in America. Or that they wanted to get away from the gangs, guess what we have a entire city ( Chicago) where its residents would also like to get away from gangs.. So getting away from gangs is not a reason for asylum.

Not one person claimed persecution based on our asylum guidelines

And btw, a nice number of these "law abiding" people tried to scale the fence in and another group cut thru the barbed wire.
