I dont see Trump 'draining' a swamp, except the one he came in creating, as told by the indictments of those he has brought on.

Drain the swamp is nothing but a cliche slogan. There will always be some level of corruption or crime. We have to ensure that we do not excuse or ignore it WHERE WE FIND IT, while realizing we will not eradicate or find it all, like all other types of crimes.

Maybe "draining the swamp" has nothing to do with crime and corruption? Maybe draining the swamp" is about the bureaucracy that makes rules and influences legislation without being held accountable by the electorate? Employees/administrators in the various government agencies that put their political viewpoints into the decisions they make at a level far below our elected representatives. Government politics is similar to office politics; someone is doing things and influencing decisions to advance their personal agenda!

I don't know if that would necessarily be something to entrust to Trump either, not just because these issues are not under the purview of the office of POTUS, but because #45 himself is so full of hypocrisy and personal agendas.

There is plenty of it in business and politics, but it is a human flaw that we also are not going to change or get rid of, and will hardly ever be able to measure in terms of whether its being 'drained' or not.

There are several people who are now comparing the red MAGA hats that trump supporters have made famous to the white hoods that the KKK wear when they practice their racism and bigotry.

I think that it is a pretty good comparison,since the trump brand is well known for its long practice of racism,and bigotry towards minorities,and if you find somebody who is a racist,or a bigot,they are USUALLY a trump supporter,and proudly wear the hat out in public while they are practicing their antisocial deeds to show their support of Donald trump and his racist,and homophobic views.

We have all seen the viral video of the high schoolers from Kentucky with a great number of them proudly wearing their red MAGA hats to show up as a unified group to protest legal abortions,and then surrounded and taunted a group of Indians protesters on camera,with one high schooler spotlighted proudly wearing his red hat as he got right in indian protester Nathan Phillips face and stood there sneering at him to try to intimidate him.

THIS is the type of antisocial behavior that we have become all too accustomed to,because whenever you see groups of people wearing the red hats,whether it is at a trump rally cheering for his racist,and homophobic views that trump spews out to excite his supporters,or on the news,when you see someone on camera after they have been singled out for practicing their own antisocial views.

I am not trying to claim that EVERYBODY that wears the red hat does these things,but I don't think that it is a coincidence that any time you see anybody doing these things that they are proudly wearing a red MAGA hat.

I believe that many people against the MAGA hat are searching far and wide and WAY back into history to find something to back them up. It's ridiculous to think that a Make America Great Again is anything more than a slogan.
just look at the stupidity of Pelosi, O'Rouke who says I was Born to Do This, --Elizabeth Warren lying about her ethnic heritage, Stuttering Joe Biden, good old Uncle Joe who says what he means, then denies that he meant it. Frankly i think it shows a great lack of understanding to attack the MAGA hat. How does anyone know if I am a Klan member or not? replace 'communist party' with 'swamp' and you have pretty much the drums of 'us verse the traitors and fake news' that Trump espouses.

Well, to be quite honest, the Communist party is alive and well here in America. Besides being everyday citizens, they have infiltrated the public school system, college universities, media, local, state and federal government. They pose as progressives. We have all run into these people at one time or another. Heck, I have family members who are card caring Communists who were born here in the USA and influencing young minds with great success up in Massachusetts. I was even one for a good many years, (back in college and for a few years afterwards - until I was 29). We still have to be on guard against Communism. It is taking over the USA. Deep down we all know it - it's just a matter if you like it enough to deny it's even happening.

Do people even know or care the difference between old Russia 'communism' and democratic socialism ... or is it a matter of people not caring to see the difference?
