I've seen a number of the emoticons I had on my own forum :) I was always very fussy which ones I had, hihi. I see now that some of those were MSN smileys.
It really is a great page, Larsi, and I see you made many happy haha.
I am using this site for ages. And seems, you don't need to be fluent in German either
Haha, I think the images mostly speak for themselves. I can read some German. I was doing an advanced course German a few years back, did really well with it. I started it as I wanted to get a job and over here you need German for most everything due to the German tourists. But I stopped the course when I came across Germans at my reception desk, asking something, me thinking, WTH????????????????????????????????
Turned out they only asked where they could get on a bus
I figured if I couldn't even understand that I might as well quit.
I tried to get a job at "House of Britain", travel agency in Flushing but they didn't want me
See, we have so many different dialects in Germany, some of them are just horrendous. Bavarian for example. Nobody understands them outside Bavaria
I think many over here are from Beieren? I think my son mentioned that, area with more richer people as a holiday over here is apparently quite expensive.
But it's my German I think. I've always suxed at German, the only language I couldn't learn it seemed, hihi.
Funny enough, when I did a test to see which course was suited for me I got to highly advanced level. I decided to go for one level lower as I realized it's mostly my reading skills and that's vastly different from understanding and speaking it.
The course went well, mostly 8s and 7s and 9s.
But if I then still cannot understand a bus related question...
So Nederlands is more easy to learn? Well, I can do a wee bit of small talk. There is lots of Dutch and Flemish tourists in the village where my parents live. Sometimes I help my dad doing guided tours in an old slate mine. Okay, I can speak far better Nederlands, than writing it
