Defending Mr. Trump and believing everything he says is truth,
when that’s not always true, are two different things.
Sorry Miss, message was to cool down the over zeal of an American patriot.
Here's my view - if you have the time.
While Indian government does not agree with Trump's sanctions on Iran - a covert move to boost American oil under the cover of 'defense of Israel' we, like Europe and others have no choice in the matter but to obey. Yet, in the overall scheme of things, it has chilled Muslim extremism the like of which we have not seen before.
Am I defending Trump? Yes, his foreign policies have worked. I don't track on what he Tweets - except during the debates & campaigns. - Mainly it's around his policies - not public behavior.
Example:
US soldiers leaving Afghanistan and Syria was unthinkable in 2016 - and although Pakistan's military establishment and Turkey have territorial ambitions in these regions; Middle East has chilled!!!
As an Indian, with all the great economic impact of raising oil prices (low now due to Covid) who can deny Trump, this?

The case for Trump - his sanctions need to be viewed against the backdrop of US vis-a-vis world history - American led wars cannot be washed away.
Korean war: 5 million Koreans dead / 40,000 US soldiers
(4 million civilians)
I understand, this war was a bungle up.
US Congress had not approved this war and Truman relieved the once popular general
There's a deep lesson here. General MacArthur was undoubtedly a patriot but something tilted his balance of mind. The lesson gives me the reason not to respect army men beyond a point, whether US, Russian, Chinese or even Indian. They are 'paid with benefits' to do a job. No more, or no less. If you don't like to wear the uniform, get out. (Sounding like Trump, anti-patriotic, maybe)
Vietnam - 3 million Vietnamese dead / 16,000 US soldiers
(10% of Vietnam's population)
US military records conceal villages bombed and civilians dead.
Iraq - 2nd war: 7000 Iraqi civilians - luckily Iraq surrendered but there government structure totally destroyed
This war was a personal vendetta of President G Bush Jr. because of suspected assassination attempt on Bush Sr. or because he was completing unfinished business. (It's an open secret).
Afghan War - 14,000 civilians dead - long after the Soviets had withdrawn

Yet, all these wars became bygone when your President Trump met Putin. The world changed 'bigly' over that handshake and in these 4 years. The Middle East, the Chinese, NK and even the European Union. Partly because Russia respected Trump - and yet big man Trump refused to lift sanctions on Russia. Instead imposed on Iran & Tariffs on China.
With his aggressive style and insane tweets - Trump defused many situations.
My regret is Trump did not complete what he started. Renegotiate with Iran. And maybe with Russia ...

As far as Biden's foreign policies, I'm waiting till he sits on the hot seat. Frankly, I have no interests to trash an elderly man based on alleged personal misdemeanor in his past, because some vindictive news reporter carries stories that sound 'credible'.
Best wishes.
