I'd hoped Apex would be worthwhile, even though it's basically just a copy of Surviving the Game with Rutger hauer & Ice-T.
But it's so bad I couldn't bear to watch it. The 1,5 rating is quite correct. I don't know why Bruce Willis plays in all these crap movies these days. Okay, he cannot pull off the big action stuff any longer, but surely he could do better stuff than he is now.
Bruce Willis and his agent still think he is an action star.
His name attracts (well, used to attract) money.
Willis had some successful comedies early in his career.
Blind Date was a very fun movie.
Lately, his acting and the films he is associated with appear to be out of some contractual fulfilment or he is in finacial trouble?
As far as I'm concerned, his recent stuff has ruined his name.
Mel Gibson on the other hand, still has it. He can still grab the viewer with his presence. Willis looks like he needs a walker and a drool rag.
I'd be surprised if we ever seen another 'good' Bruce Willis movie.
I collect actor sets of movies.
My Bruce Willis collection is being tainted by his recent additions.
I'll continue to collect his stuff but only because I like my collections to be complete.

Predator still is a great movie to watch!
I watched part 2 as well, and Alien vs. Predator. Also okay, but I'm never so keen on "alien". I think because it's always endless drama. Even Predator leaves you with some hope, Alien doesn't.
When I was living in MO there was a small town theater which offered $2 movies during the week of old films on the big screen. They called it Retro Theater.
It was great because I could take my kids to see old movies with a theater experience.
Consequently, I have seen and heard of other theaters recently offering oldies screenings. I've heard about a theater somewhere over near King of Prussia, PA which offers binge weeks where they show top run sequels, prequels and reboots of old movies along with the original films, all on the big screen.
As baby boomers age into their golden years, retro anything seems like it would be a sound investment.
A business opportunity (in the right community) might be a mall which features retro stores which also offers a retro theater and music venue.
The internet is full of online retro stores where you can buy any vintage product. The supplies are available, all that would be needed is the storefront and atmosphere.
Retro Theater
Old-Tyme Candy Shop
Record Shop
Soda Pop Shop & Delicatessen
Retro Grocery Store
Film Camera Supply Store
Retro Dress Shop (clothing stores)
Retro Electronics Store (retro housings with modern guts)
Pinball Game Room
Retro Gaming Shop (NES, sNES, Atari, etc...)
Antique/Retro Hardware and Fixtures Store
The main theme of the mall could be from the 1950s to the 1990s, that's 70-20 years ago.
LOL, well anyway, I don't have the starting capitol to do this but someone looking for ideas for a business venture might be interested in the concept?
On topic, I unzipped a bunch of older movies yesterday to watch.
On the list...Backdraft (1991), Brewster's Millions (1985) and The Fugitive (1993) plus more.
Yup , when my kids were way younger , I would take them to "the Dollar Cinema " as it was called .. old movies ( new for the kids) were up on the big screen . For a dollar , with a membership for 12 dollars a year ... great times and great movies ... Sadly , with the event of huge Blockbusters , with newer movie rentals ... that cinema faded ..and look at where we are today ... can't stop progress...!!!!
