Perhaps giving up and looking for the easy fast way IS part of the brainwashing strategy?
In compliance its always better to convince the masses to just want to do something rather than take extra steps to make them do it. It make the person think, "well, this is my idea so I am doing this to myself".
But the idea wasn't theirs originally, it was set in motion by strategically manipulating patterns and attitudes in seemingly unrelated areas.
If I want to sell more widgets I can tell you to buy more widgets and you might only buy the widgets you need right now.
But if I place those widgets near some hickeys and tell you there is a sale on hickeys and I drop the price of the widgets by 1 percent and place a sign near the hickeys which tells you hickeys are better when used with widgets, I will sell more widgets.
Tell your friends, hickeys are on sale for buy one get 3 free. You buy all those hickeys and subliminally you wonder if you have enough widgets to go with all those new hickeys so you look and widgets are cheaper than they were before the sale so you buy 3 more.
You didn't set out to buy more widgets when you went to get a deal on hickeys but you ended up coming home with more widgets anyway. Then you bop yourself in the forehead and say "why did I buy more widgets?" never realizing you were conditioned to make that choice over years of similar experiences thrust upon you in an effort to get that exact same response.
It doesn't matter if its directly aimed at you or resulting from you witnessing someone else doing it and acting happy to save face.
The term is "sheeple conditioning" and its much more common than people realize. If you can break away from the constant conditioning and think rationally and decisively you stop falling for the conditioning and it becomes apparent just how many people are trapped by it in this modern world we live in.
"I want it all and I want it right now. Give it to me or I will go find it someplace else!"
There are people who do not get trapped into conditioning but the majority of modern society is filled with people who are trapped, know they are trapped but have no idea how they got that way.
Most of modern society lives beyond their means. Take away credit and people would panic. I've lived that way and I felt trapped, I knew I was trapped but saw no other way to make it in life. Then I was forced to make changes and now I live well within my means and money is not a problem. That didn't happen till I stopped focusing on media. I used to be glued to the TV, addicted to NEWS, facebook and social circles were very important then, I woke up. Now I am in control of my life and couldn't be more content.
I don't fall for the traps like I used to. I don't have to make excuses, apologize for wrong decisions made in the heat of conditioned response.
I can't watch TV anymore, to my rationality it makes no sense, no sense at all.
Yes, we decide what we do in the immediate moment but those decisions are formed based on years of conditioning. Effective brainwashing is brainwashing you can't tell has happened.
you still haven't convinced me
Social media and marketing strategies utilised by capitalists and multinationals are common knowledge..
you say that people who are conscious of being trapped don't know how they got there, well to me appears clearly that they do know that they chose to be there, they chose to be influenced, or they wouldn't know they are trapped to begin with..
simply people decide that the effort required to say no to those influences isn't worth the fight with themselves to get out of their comfort zone..
they value comfort and convenience for doing different would require too big of an effort and / or sacrifice, so why bother?
and it's perfectly ok to me that anyone can chose whether to be influenced or not, for anyone has the right to live their life as they wish..
but just because they chose to be influenced it doesn't mean that they didn't have a choice, or everyone would buy everything they see on sale, promotion or as an easy way of making cash via every single trading app..
we chose which product on sale to buy as we chose which product on sale not to buy
I'll repeat...not everyone is completely oblivious to brainwashing efforts.
Some people become aware after the fact.
Social media and marketing strategies utilised by capitalists and multinationals are common knowledge
In most cases but not all. The well-known tactics are simplistic and easily recognized, however, there are deeper tactics which are not well-known. Plus, exposure of the simple tactics are likely a tactic in itself to refocus away from the deeper methods.
EX: we will give the people reason to focus on that, while we do this where they are not looking. Plus, there's no way to know how many levels of diversion are actually in place.
you say that people who are conscious of being trapped don't know how they got there, well to me appears clearly that they do know that they chose to be there, they chose to be influenced, or they wouldn't know they are trapped to begin with
Some people are decisive. Some people can think rationally. Many people are reactive in life. They do not make decisions based on the reality before them. They react to what they encounter from snap decisions which often lead to undesirable outcomes. Some people 'wake up' after a bit and begin using the reality around them to make their decisions. They 'see' how their delusions manipulate them. Many people remain reactive till they die.
simply people decide that the effort required to say no to those influences isn't worth the fight with themselves to get out of their comfort zone
Isn't that an explanation of brainwashing?
If I can convince you to follow my plan because its easier and gives you comfort would you be willing to try something new which may be realistic but difficult and uncomfortable?
That type of thinking is a higher level of influence which causes people (in general) to think they are acting according to their own wishes. A conditioning which was put in place to support brainwashing efforts.
they value comfort and convenience for doing different would require too big of an effort and / or sacrifice, so why bother?
Not everyone holds true to this belief.
It is a relatively 'new' conviction which prevails in larger, modern societies. If it were a baseline human species trait, all people would be that way. Since only some people are effected, it could be a condition of brainwashing thru influences within that society.
Even so, there are still people within those societies which are not affected. This is because some people are more susceptible to brainwashing methods than others. Likely based on individual intelligence and or reasoning capacity.
and it's perfectly ok to me that anyone can chose whether to be influenced or not, for anyone has the right to live their life as they wish
Choosing to be influenced is not brainwashing, brainwashing is not a choice, its something which is done to you without your knowledge.
There are not many people in societies who are living their lives as they actually wish, that...is a delusion.
but just because they chose to be influenced it doesn't mean that they didn't have a choice, or everyone would buy everything they see on sale, promotion or as an easy way of making cash via every single trading app
Again, everyone is not accurate, its a grouping based on simplistic logic.
People are individuals. People have different motives for the things they do.
The brainwashing strategies and techniques may not be pinpoint efforts.
The brainwashing may have deeper meaning than to merely sell a product.
You watch prime-time TV for 3 or 4 hours per night. You are exposed to certain behaviors resulting in favorable or unfavorable outcomes. You are exposed to warnings which do not align with your actual reality. Night after night you are exposed to these same influences.
It starts to cause you to think certain ways which are not in alignment with your life. You motivate yourself to attempt to gain the same fortunate comes as depicted. You attempt to circumvent unfavorable outcomes based on the examples you witness, night after night.
The problems arise when you do everything you think is right (based on how you have been influenced) and life refuses to work out as expected. It causes stress. Not understanding why you feel stressed out is part of the brainwashing which is being done to you. It keeps you off-kilter just enough to distract you from what you really, actually need to focus on.
Then you become susceptible to marketing influences.
As I said, much of the brainwashing(influence) happens in deeper levels of the mind. It changes the decision rationality ability. You see an egg commercial every night for 3 months, you start craving eggs. You see people buying a Lexus and having a wonderful life every night for 3 months, you start wanting a new car. You might not go out and buy a Lexus but you start thinking you should get a new car, even though there's nothing really wrong with the one you already have. You start to convince yourself you need a new car.
Its like advertisers putting "NEW" on the box. People love to buy something marked as "NEW". What was wrong with the old one? Why did they change it? Did they actually change it or did they merely put "NEW" on the box just to get you to buy it? Why is "NEW" so important to people? Is "NEW" actually better than old? Something has influenced people to value "NEW".
People reacting to implied influence is brainwashing. Not all people react the same to all influences. Majorities which react to certain influences drives brainwashing strategies.
we chose which product on sale to buy as we chose which product on sale not to buy
Most people do. The purchase is not the intent of the influence.
The intent is to cause people to react certain ways to certain key words.
"NEW", "SALE", "SAVINGS" and so on. These words are evident of strategies which have been in place for the last century to cause people to react certain ways. The actual reactive words and phrases change with the times but the fact people are conditioned to react to key words and phrases is a condition of brainwashing. Plus, there are key words and phrases which are not related to marketing which influence people. "HAPPY", "SUCCESSFUL", "TRUSTWORTHY". Words which have intense meaning according to the conditions as they are applied. TRUSTWORTHY candidate, SUCCESSFUL business, HAPPY ever after. Even when people become cynical of these key words and phrases it doesn't minimize the fact they reacted to them.
There are many levels of brainwashing, the simple methods are easy to recognize but can all be recognized as easily by all people?
Sometimes you have to step out of the influence to see what can't be seen.
I stepped away from TV and radio and I see more than I saw while I was being influenced. I'm still part of society, so I'm still being influenced but since I attempt to live in the here and now within the reality before me, I see things many do not.
I've tried watching TV. Its awful to me. It usually pisses me off within a half hour. I see the obvious influences others absorb. Its crazy how influential television has become.
I mainly watch movies. I've been aware of the subliminal influence in movies for quite some time. Luckily, I've fixed that gullible side of me. Living in the here and now helps a lot. Seeing reality as it actually exists also helps a lot. I have less stress, make better decisions and live in contentment.
I've gained control and I refuse to give it up ever again.
