the city was bombed by German heavy Gotha bombers and by zeppelins.. so it must've looked pretty devastating.. plus the Parisians suffered epidemics of typhoid and measles with a deadly outbreak of Spanish influenza during the winter of 1918-19 that killed thousands of Parisians...
this was Paris.. and money or no.. I wouldn't go..
but, that's just me.. guess Slim it'd be BYOP if you DID go back in time along with a few other shots just to stay alive.. 
and I'm not talking "shots of tequila" either
