Programming on and off for about 35+ years.
Have taken classes on some of the old languages:
Basic, Cobol, Fortran, Java, Pascal, C++, C#, Assembly 370

worked on a few games using:
Assembly 8086, assembly 6502, assembly 68000
Golden Axe for PC, Cuckoo Zoo (children's learning game),
did not get a chance to learn any of the newer languages.

Currently making a game using HSL script, with a small group -
Exile Online.
We use an engine called Hero engine, its for making MMOs.
Also helping here and there with Repopulation MMO.

C++ is my favourite language. Not because I know it, but because it is the thoughest high level langauge.

I wish to prefer instructions that are machine friendly , than those of programmar friendly.

I know very less of C++(17?) but here is a possibility of a novice programmar to become an artist in computer programming.

I am blind to see this in other languages.

Really depends on what application I'm building. For video games, definitely C++. For web based applications, Javascript hands down.

Has to be C. I started with COBAL and FORTRAN. C and it's iterations we're so much more productive. I hate JAVA for the simple fact of having to support it across a domain. Nothing like an entire system going down because a programer upgraded there jdk and compiled a simple routine. I'll admit, I've been retired from that sector for a while. It still sucked
