Maybe tomorrow.... so I have to come on hot and sexy and let my animal magnetism show through? Just remember, women cannot resist a man in uniform and I always wear my uniform. You'll be putty in my hands! Really, it's an unfair advantage.
When looking for a 'hookup' it isn't necessary to read a profile.
For a one night stand, the less you know about a person the better.
All you really need to know is if she will give you some.
That's all fine and dandy for most people.
For a select few, sex is not the driving force in their search.
What is written in the profile is important in getting to actually know the person.
People that are searching for 'the one' will usually read the profile, yes, even when they are a 'wall of text'.
What is sad is that there are a lot of women and quite a few men that are searching for 'the one'.
So when you send women your sexual innuendos and private pictures without asking it degrades the expected message for all potential suitors.
Some guys don't stand a chance when your target of interest has just received 30 sex messages before you.
Likewise, Some women don't take a chance because they experience rude, tactless messages if they show interest.
Be on any dating site long enough and a trend starts to occur. You can identify fakes and scammers pretty easily but it all diminishes away from the intent of the search, which is sometimes to find someone you think is special and they think you are special.
Add to all that the aspect that a lot of people on free dating sites have unrealistic expectations, have motives that are less than expected and you get what we experience right now.
It is only by reading the profile that we can judge if a person is looking for someone special or just going thru the motions.
So yes, I do read profiles before I contact a woman and yes, I do read profiles when a woman that is within my search preferences contacts me.
Not to, would defeat my purpose for being on the site.
I read the profiles. I took a lot of time considering what to put in my profile. I am looking for someone who also put a lot into his profile.
But what I get is 19, 23, 31, 40.... yrs old replying that they want to meet me. Clearly they didn't read the profile which says I don't want to be with a younger man and that he should live in my area. Some of these people who respond live in Australia, Sweden. Africa, and the USA plus all across Canada.
The scammers all say they will move near me. They will sacrifice their jobs and friends and the life they have now if only they could worship the ground I walk on. No kidding - that is what one said.
And all the younger men who want to climb into bed with an older woman he can spend the rest of his life with. Ummmm small problem. If she is 30 years older then the chances of her dying first are much higher. And I remind them if she is 80 and he is 50 there is a good chance she will be wearing Depends to bed at night. That generally stops them cold.
But really I am here to find someone special. Definitely not here to see how many men I could have in my bed.It is exhausting to keep blocking some of them because they did not read the profile
I always read the profile. How else am I supposed to know if we have anything in common, or if I am interested in her?
Me too.. I read profiles. I don't respond to those guys with empty profile or with no picture (unless they are active in forums). Sometimes it's a reflecrion of who they are.. means they are lazy.
Profiles relay only what the profiler believes to be true. Not always accurate. I've met women who their description had some basis of truth but not a good personality evaluation. The only item somewhat accurate was her picture and that can even be 15 to 20 years old. Meeting in person is the only and best way.
I know right?!? Seriously say something about yourself. ..anything other than "I'll tell you later." And for Petes sake read the profile. Friendship means friendship, no kids means no kids(I have 5...). And how the heck can you have a relationship when you live in seperate countries. You seriously going to move across the country? Not likely. I know I'm not. Lol
I used to tell people not to send nekkid pictures to me on my profile, but I took the request off because it just seemed to cause the wimmins to send me more.
They are probably sending out lots of messages to lots of people based on the profile photo alone, so they don't spare any time to read the profiles, hoping, by sending out so many messages they will receive a reply from someone. Maybe there is method in their madness.
In the past I've had guys email me when my profile clearly says I don't date guys who live with their parents or have indoor pets. They wasted my time and theirs.
