If you follow one person receiving welfare, you may see they watch a lot of Television, how about cut back on the TV watching and learn a new skill, you can learn almost anything on the net today with the free Youtube videos.
There is no excuses today.
explain why immigrants barely speaking english can find jobs? and within a decade living a decent life, some even owning a house?
Ever seen the jobs these immigrants find? jobs that that average American would thumb their noses at, they will get up at 6 am in the morning work 7 to 4, come home eat then go to another job from 6 pm to 10 or 11 come home and repeat the cycle.
And some of these jobs at Minimum wage
they may not go out and socialize like the average american because they want to get ahead so they can enjoy life later or give their children a chance .
Anyone that succeeds in life will tell you one must sacrifice something to achieve financial success.
Newsflash: if you follow ANY stay at home parent, or even MOST americans of all working statuses, you will see they watch 'alot' of media, why limit it to TV?
people who have either no young children, or a network that can HELP in supervising their children for them, can pick and choose minimum wage and unlimited hours, if they SACRIFICE raising their own kid for the 'possibility' that eventually, (possibly once the kid is grown and needs them less anyway) they will get 'ahead'.
However, single parents without such privilege of freedom of time and effort around the clock, have more limitations and reasonable considerations to keep.
a minimum wage job? 10 an hour job? that would be what 1600 a month. Take 20 percent off for tax and insurance(thats underestimating), thats gonna be 1280 per month take home.
That would require at least 2 hours a day (before and after school) that someone else has to watch the kid(s), the school programs have them for about 30 a week. Thats 120 a month in child supervision costs. That leaves 1060 a month, for RENT, utilities, groceries, gas, car payment and insurance ... I dont think thats happening.
Employers can pay better wages or taxes can help to subsidize the cost of people not having BETTER wages. but that sacrifice needs to happen if it means keeping kids from starving or being without shelter and medical care.
yes, sacrifices are part of life. More 'taxpayers' should understand that.
TOTAL sacrifice, however, is martyrism.
Humans need balance, that includes work AND play, food AND water, rest AND activity ...et cetera ...
